Mining in Fields of Mistria — Ore, Gems & the Mines

The mines south of town unlock after you repair the bridge. Mining supplies copper, tin, iron, silver and gold — the backbone of tool upgrades and crafting. Deeper floors hold rarer ores and gemstones.

💡 Pro tips: 1) Bring food for energy — mining burns stamina fast. 2) Upgrade your pickaxe before pushing deeper. 3) Gems are worth more sold than donated (except your first of each for the Museum).

What to Do With Ores

Smelt ores into bars, then use them for tool upgrades, farm buildings and crafting recipes (including the materials for the engagement ring from the 1.0 update!). Don't sell raw ore — processed bars are worth far more.

Mining Skill Perks (Essence Tree)

Spend Essence at the Dragon Statue inside the Mines to unlock Mining perks. Each perk costs a fixed amount of Essence — you pick one perk per tier, so plan your build around your playstyle.
